Job Summary:

Cap Ex Project manager is responsible for managing multi-million dollar capital improvement projects for the Reflective Solutions of Americas.  The scope includes annual budgeting, project approvals, continuous project update, and timely closure with a project plan outlining milestones, and forecasting of investment cash flows.  Additionally, the position requires communication to the leadership team regarding execution plans, gaps, risks to achieving goals and solutions to achieving the targeted deadlines and approved expenditure with clear visibility.  This high visibility position will lead
engineering, project management, installation, and start-up of the new and innovative manufacturing processes  involving multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working on a number of CAPEX projects that require the justification, procurement, and integration of machinery into the business.
  • Seeks out and investigates new and innovative processes and equipment to determine suitability for application and use by Reflexite. 
  • Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of the CAPEX equipment, impact on the business, and effect on production, efficiency, and cost.
  • Create the aggressive project plan and achieve the financial goal while completing on-time.
  • Lead and identify resource needs and provide oversight to internal team as well as external vendors.  Confers with vendors to determine equipment specifications and arrange for the purchase of the equipment. 
  • Collaborates with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations team to schedule installation activities.  Ensures adequate cross-functional communication with schedule, updates, needs, opportunities and alike.
  • Improve existing manufacturing/production processes and/or infrastructure across the site.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodology to bring a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ensure safety reviews are conducted starting with design to pre-start-up of equipment and the items are addressed prior to transferring to manufacturing.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant corporate policies and OSHA guidelines as well as city, county, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure documents compliance with ISO standards.

Educational Standard:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Work Experience:


  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience required, at least 5 years in Capital Project management
  • Strong CAPEX project management experience from manufacturing
  • Experience of overseeing CAPEX equipment design, procurement, build, installation and commissioning.
  • Required experience in converting and web manufacturing processes
  • Preferred experience in Electrical, Automation Controls
  • Financial & budgetary capability with resource management
