Reflexite Retro Reflective Technology
Reflexite provides retroreflective solutions that help save lives. Retroreflection occurs when light rays are returned in the direction from which they came.
You can imagine someone working at the roadside. A car approaches with its headlights on. If the person was wearing a garment or e.g. a bag incorporating retroreflective material, a large amount of reflected light would be returned directly towards the original light source, i.e. the car headlights. This increases the visibility of the person to the driver of the car, and increases the driver's time to react accordingly and avoid a hazardous situation.
In the Reflexite® product range, there are two different technologies used - microprismatic technology and glass bead technology. In this section you can learn how they differ.
