Reflexite's Optical Solution Business offers custom design expertise to assist you with system solutions, optical design, in-house tooling facilities and manufacturing in a variety of polymer microstructured optical films and components. We can manufacture products for prototypes up to high volume applications in a wide range of sizes.
Design
We have the design expertise to take your design to manufacture, assist you with your design or take your specifications and create a design to meet your requirements. We have a global staff of optical engineers using the latest available "off the shelf" software in addition to custom proprietary software to model performance of optical designs.
Tooling
Our state-of-the-art precision tooling and microreplication center fabricated the highest quality microstructured tooling in the world.
- Our master generating equipment is custom designed to achieve the high precision microstructured geometries from millimeters to nanometers in size
- Our plating and electroforming replication processes faithfully replicate these high precision microstructures to provide dies and inserts for high volume manufacturing.
Film Manufacturing
Our film products are manufactured via discrete or continuous embossing and discrete or continuous casting operations. A variety of film substrates at varying thicknesses can be used along with proprietary index matching resins.
Component Manufacturing
Our polymer processing encompasses a variety of manufacturing methods and equipment to enable us to achieve our customers' requirements and cost targets. Our processes include Compression Molding, Injection Molding, Coining, and High Precision Molding (HPM) - a proprietary molding process.
Finishing Operations
All products can be finished to any specified size, including special features, i.e. holes, slots and chamfers. Laminating processes are also available.
Surface Enhancements
Reflexite offers a variety of surface treatments including Hardcoating, Metalization, Antireflective Coatings, Antireflective Microstructures and Printing.
