GP030 used on workwear for drilling rig staff

Reflexite has launched the new GP030 tape to the European market. The reflective tape is based on glass bead technology and designed for use on fire-proof work apparel, for example that worn by workers in off-shore environments such as drilling rigs. It is also intended for use on the clothing worn by fire service personnel.

The new Reflexite GP030 reflective tape complies with safety level 1, and is ideal for high-visibility apparel which is required to be both heat-resistant and fire-proof. Its silver-coloured glass bead construction conforms with norms EN471:2003 and A1:2007 Level 2, as well as EN 533 Index 3, EN 469 and ARC.

GP030 can simply be sewed on during the clothing manufacture process, and can also be backstitched. The rear side of the silver-grey reflective tape consists of non-flammable cotton. Guaranteed wash stability is based on corresponding testing, and stands at 30 washing cycles at 60° C and 30 dry-cleaning cycles.

GP030 tape is available in rolls with dimensions of 50mm x 100m and 1m x 50m, and is packaged in boxes of six rolls.

The addition of glass bead articles to its product range sees Reflexite become a full-spectrum provider of visibility products. Offered alongside high-end products based on microprism technology which delivers the utmost in reflective performance, glass bead tapes represent a lower-end solution which caters to numerous situations in which lower performance is sufficient.
