At Reflexite, our business is "the Management of Light." We combine optical engineering, microreplication and polymer processing technologies to provide differentiated products to customers worldwide.

Optical Engineering

Our facilities in the U.S., Europe and Asia each have specialized optical engineers who invent and design sophisticated optical microstructures. These microstructures are used in different product applications, including Display products and components, Lighting products and components, Instrumentation products, Telecommunication products and components and Safety and visibility products

Microreplication

We have the capabilities to precisely reproduce our proprietary optical microstructured designs. Examples of the mastering and master replication processes include:

  • Diamond turning
  • Holography
  • Polymer forming
  • Electroforming

Polymer Processing

Our proprietary polymer processing techniques enable us to form highly precise optical microstructures. These structures can be used on or in a large variety of optical polymers and coatings.

The optical microstructures and optical microstructured arrays range in size from nm (nanometer) to mm (millimeter). The optical microstructures are produced either continuously or discretely in large area or small area format depending on the volume and the application. Examples of ways that we can produce these structures include:

  • Casting (continuous or discrete)
  • High precision molding
  • Injection molding
  • Compression molding
  • Embossing (continuous or discrete)
  • Polymer coating
  • Vacuum coating
  • Printing
  • Lamination and bonding
  • Clean room environments
