Polymer Science and Metrology
We have a global staff of engineers and scientists that study the practical aspects of materials, their physical, electronic, mechanical, and chemical properties. Our engineers and scientists also have decades of experience in material development as well as process development of equipment for material processing.
Polymer science is a subfield of materials science concerned with polymers, primarily synthetic polymers such as plastics, and includes expertise in multiple disciplines including chemistry, physics, and engineering.
Expertise in:
- Metallurgy, tooling and electroforming
- Polymer chemistry and formulation including monomers, oligomers, acrylates and esters as well as kinetics of reactions (degradation or polymerization) of polymers and monomers
- Polymer physics including testing, selection and processing including knowledge of polymers, mechanical properties, optical properties, material compatibility and structure properties
- Knowledge of substrates and coating and material processing to include but not limited to; PMMA, COC, PC, PET, Vinyl, PVDF, ETFE, PEN, PCTFE and EVA
