Training & Personal Development

Training and development of our Employees is critical to the success of our company. This is a shared responsibility between the Company and the Employee. Reflexite is committed to providing a positive environment where continual learning can take place. We promote communication and participation in the workplace. We encourage use of our Global Reflexite Online Web-training system, G.R.O.W., Educational Assistance/ Tuition Reimbursement program and we encourage attendance at job related seminars and workshops.

We encourage all of our Employees to be active in seeking out opportunities for personal and professional development so that they can assume greater responsibilities within the Company. An investment in training and development is no different than an investment in any other area and a return should be expected. The Employee should identify key ideas or skills gained through training and develop a plan to implement the newly acquired skills. This process places emphasis on application of newly acquired skills within a specific time frame.

Reflexite recognizes the importance of talent development within the organization. The purpose of the Reflexite Talent Management Program is to identify key talent within our business. Then use Career Development Plans to develop and drive these talented employees in their career. The program involves employee-owner input, manager feedback, HR input and the capabilities of the business to meet the career needs of individuals.

Our training and development activities fall primarily under three categories:

1. Skills Training
We help employees develop technical expertise and competencies on a continuous basis. The two categories of skills training we provide are:

  • New Hire Training.
  • Product Training and other advanced technical modules
  • Quality Training
  • Lean Training
  • Safety Training

2. Professional Development
Our professional development curriculum helps employees develop and enhance competencies in areas such as client service, communications, project management and interpersonal skills. Training in office systems, such as Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, is also provided.

3. Management Development
Our management programmes are aimed at developing the range of skills, techniques and behaviours necessary to provide the leadership Reflexite needs to manage the business effectively while meeting the individual development needs of our employees. We conduct in-house training programs that include Management Excellence, a four day course, that provides new managers a well as seasoned managers the skills and techniques they need to be successful managers at Reflexite.
