Who we are
At Reflexite our business is Saving Lives and Saving Energy. Our growth strategy is to combine our core capabilities in optical engineering, microreplication, and polymer processing to create new, differentiated products for global markets. Current and future priority markets are reflective products, solar, display optics, lighting optics, and instrumentation optics.
Reflexite was founded based on its unique proprietary technology and the value that the Technology can create for customers. The Technology embodies three elements: optical engineering, microreplication, and polymer processing. All of our products are uniquely engineered, all involve optical microstructures, and all products are made from various plastic substrates.
The third fundamental that was added in 1989 is Quality. All Reflexite employee-owners are trained in the Reflexite quality system and continuous improvement. In this way, all of us have a convenient means to improve the company that we all own.
THE INNOVATIONS IN EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP AWARD
is an annual award recognizing creative ideas that help make employee ownership stronger and publicizing those ideas so others can learn from them. Innovations can deal with employee participation, entrepreneurship, communication programs, education, plan design, or other ideas that strengthen employee ownership. This award recognizes Reflexite's sophisticated approach to integrated ownership, involving not only its ESOP, but a stock option program, a monthly cash "owners' bonus," a global ESOP, and a recently introduced stock purchase plan. This extremely rare combination of short-, medium- and long-term ownership programs complements an extensive education and information-sharing system and ambitious employee involvement activities.
WALL STREET JOURNAL WINNING WORKPLACES AWARD
The Wall Street Journal and Winning Workplaces teamed up to create their first annual list of the best small workplaces in the U.S. in a report called Top Small Workplaces. Reflexite was named one of the Top 15 Small Workplaces in the United States. Each of the top 15 small workplaces have built workplace environments that encourage collegiality and professional growth, and provide an atmosphere and benefits that make their employees want to stay. They were all recognized for their ability to share a commitment to valuing, trusting, and respecting their employees, and viewing them as the key to achieving business success.
